Frequently Asked Questions:

What can I expect from the first session?

In our first session, my primary focus will be on understanding your goals and what you hope to accomplish through therapy. I aim to create a warm and compassionate environment where you feel comfortable sharing your thoughts and feelings. We’ll discuss your background, current challenges, and what you envision for your therapy journey. This initial meeting also allows us to assess whether I am the right fit for your needs and to explore what supports might best serve you.

How long will therapy generally take?

The duration of therapy varies widely from person to person. Each client's experiences and challenges are unique, so the timeline for progress can differ significantly. Some clients may find resolution in a few sessions, while others might benefit from a longer-term commitment. I generally ask to meet with clients weekly or biweekly as it fosters consistent growth and progress in therapy. Together, we’ll periodically evaluate your progress and adjust our approach as needed to ensure you’re getting the support you deserve.

What is your cancellation policy?

I have a cancellation policy that requires 48 business hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment. If this notice isn’t provided, the full session fee will be charged. This policy helps me manage my schedule and allows other clients the opportunity to book a session. Thank you for your understanding!

Do you accept insurance?

I do not accept insurance as a counselor, and payment is expected at the time of the appointment. However, I am happy to provide superbills for clients seeking out-of-network reimbursement. I encourage you to check with your insurance provider to see what out-of-network services may be covered.
